I caught a supermarket ad (Lidl ? ) for nut roast on the box last night showing the usual shiny idealised family raising a turkey throughout the year for the ‘festive’ season then becoming so attached to the bird it was head of the table rather than centre. A clever bit of ‘feel good’ brand marketing but like most ads so very sadly miles away from reality and more about fantasy. If they had shown the industrial processed slaughter they would sell far more nut roasts but less of everything else.
